Our first Publishers Weekly review and a few more items of note

Publishers Weekly says that Scourge of the Seas of Time (and Space) is: “This anthology is a delightful cross-section of pirate tales, representing a diverse array of sexualities and nationalities, and shining a spotlight on tales that don’t fit common preconceived notions of pirate lore. It will appeal to fans of daring speculative fiction.” Along with other nice things!

Desire by Emily L. Byrne made Erotica for the Big Brain’s Best of 2018 list!

Murder on the Titania and Other Steam-Powered Adventures by Alex Acks got a nice shoutout on The Illustrated Page (which also praised Alex’s Angry Robot series).

Award nominations:

  • Murder on the Titania is a nominee for the Colorado Book Awards, the Bisexual Book Awards and the IPPY Awards.
  • Medusa’s Touch is nominee for the Rainbow Awards, the Goldie Awards and the IPPY Awards.
  • Several stories from Scourge of the Seas and “The Flying Turk” from Murder on the Titania are all on the SFWA Recommended Reading List for Nebula, Hugo and other award consideration. Here’s hoping!
